You did it! 60 Mentors in 60 Days recruitment campaign a success

On August 1, we launched a recruitment effort to find 60 new mentors to match with 60 children who were waiting for Bigs. We’re happy to announce that the 60 Mentors in 60 Days campaign was a rousing success with 73 community members answering the call to mentor!

Thank you to all who stepped forward to share their knowledge and valuable life experiences with those who come after them – their Littles.

With just two hours, twice a month, these Bigs will help local children navigate the twists and turns of growing up. They’ll serve as friends – not parents – offering advice and leading by example.

We know that when a child has a Big, their grades go up, they’re more likely to graduate high school and aspire to further education. And we know that they have an additional person in their corner to encourage them as they follow their dreams.

We’re grateful to the community members who answered the call to mentor as well as our supporters who helped spread the word about the need. Thank you!

While the 60 Mentors in 60 Days campaign was successful, the need for even more mentors remains. If you aren’t a Big now, please consider becoming a mentor. If you are already a Big or if this isn’t the right time for you to mentor, please share with friends and family that there are still many children waiting for a dedicated, caring adult to share their life experiences with them.
