BBBS To Receive Largest Single Donor Gift In Agency History
Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA) was contacted by billionaire philanthropist MacKenzie Scott. BBBSA and 38 agencies will receive a one-time gift totaling $122.6M!
Though BBBS of Southwest Michigan was not selected in this round of funding, our work in Southwest Michigan remains vital to so many youth who need us. However, we know that BBBSA recognizes our local agency’s high-quality work.
BBBSA has not been informed about how agencies were selected, and the list of agencies receiving funding will not be publicly released.
BIGGER TOGETHER
We celebrate this award for our collective movement as our work and the impact we make in our community is changing lives. Our mission is a journey and there will be further opportunities to invest and elevate the work we do.
BBBSA has shared its commitment to ensuring that this moment elevates our entire network. The national office will start and invest in a new fund, called Bigger Together Fund, that will support network-wide capacity-building services to support all agencies. BBBSA will share more in the coming weeks.
BE INSPIRED
We hope that this historic moment for the greater Big Brothers Big Sisters movement inspires more people in our community to consider supporting our mission to impact kids with positive mentoring relationships.
Thank you for your continued efforts, support, and investment. We are #BiggerTogether.
In gratitude,
Amy Kuchta
