Local Companies play important role in agency’s ability to achieve mission

I invite you to read the names of the many companies that supported our recent Benefit Dinner. While we are always fortunate to have many sponsors for this event, this was by far a record year.

Each of these companies plays an important role in the ability of Big Brothers Big Sisters to achieve the mission of providing children with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. The financial support provided by these companies and the many others that contribute to the agency throughout the year, allows the agency to find mentors for children on the waiting list and provide support to those already in a match.

It’s important to note that most of these businesses are headquartered within our five-county service area. There is something special about local companies supporting a local nonprofit that serves local children. These companies know that their investment will make a positive impact on their neighbors.

As noted above, Big Brothers Big Sisters, A Community of Caring is a local nonprofit. While we share a name with our larger national organization, all funds that power this agency are raised here and are used to help children in Kalamazoo, Allegan, Barry, Calhoun, and Van Buren counties.

We are grateful for the companies that help make it possible for the agency to function. If you utilize any of these sponsors, please be sure to thank them for their support. If you do not currently support any of these businesses, please consider doing so. All of us share in a passion for achieving our mission and our vision that all children achieve success in life.
