Partner Spotlight: R.W. LaPine Incorporated, Benefit Dinner Presenting Sponsor

R.W. LaPine Incorporated has sponsored Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Benefit Dinner for the past 5 years, joining as the banner Presenting Sponsor for the last 2 years. Ryan LaPine, Vice President of Operations, Zoomed with us to discuss the mutual partnership and why they have invested so heavily in our mission.

For R.W. LaPine, working with Big Brothers Big Sisters fits with their values: the connection is all about building community and the individuals involved.

“R.W. LaPine supports Big Brothers Big Sisters because… [as] a small family business that is tied to the Kalamazoo community, I feel strongly about doing good things for, and being a part of the community and giving back where we can,” Ryan says. “This opportunity to help young children [in the community] is a perfect fit.“

Ryan also told us about his personal connection to the mission: “I’ve had some friends [who were Bigs] who have kept in touch with their Littles and watched them grow up. You can tell it is very near and dear to their hearts. It shows a lot of character and it’s good to know that there are so many people in our community who are willing to be a mentor.“

R.W. LaPine Incorporated is one of Southwest Michigan’s largest HVAC, plumbing, pipe fitting, sheet/custom metal fabrication, millwright service provider in the area. They handle everything heating, cooling, plumbing, and metal fabrication for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. They employ around 300 people in Southwest Michigan.
