Thank You for Making Bowl for Kids’ Sake a Success!
Thank you to everyone who made this year’s Bowl for Kids’ Sake a roaring success! 908 bowlers, 213 teams, and 35 corporate sponsors raised nearly $100,000 to defend the potential of youth in Southwest Michigan even before COVID-19 forced event cancellations in March.
The Greater Kalamazoo Association of Realtors filled two of the bowling parties in Kalamazoo, recruiting 38 bowling teams who raised over $16,000!
3 Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraisers went above and beyond, individually raising a combined total of $3,751. They each won a fabulous prize, in gratitude for their efforts.
The Bowl for Kids’ Sake Traveling Trophy, which is awarded to our top corporate fundraiser, will be staying with Western Diversified Plastics this year! 13 bowling teams from WDP raised $5,179! Congratulations WDP!
Due to COVID-19, the in-person bowling parties in Marshall, Allegan, and Battle Creek became virtual events, complete with a bowling video game.
Capping the Bowl for Kids’ Sake season, in June, Bowl for Kids’ Sake Live took place on our Facebook page and included interviews with some of our biggest supporters and fun Big Brothers Big Sisters trivia. Supporters donated over $2,500, which, thanks to a $2,500 matching gift from Modern Woodmen of America, means Bowl for Kids’ Sake Live raised over $5,000 for mentoring in Southwest Michigan.
