Change kids’ lives: Get involved with Bowl for Kids’ Sake

The goal of everything we do at Big Brothers Big Sisters is to help the children we serve change their lives for the better, forever. Having fun while doing this isn’t a requirement but it sure happens often. Case in point: Bowl for Kids’ Sake.

Each February and March hundreds of community members from all five counties we serve come together at one of 15 bowling parties to celebrate their fundraising success. The money raised by these supporters funds programming in the county in which the money was raised.

Here’s how to get involved with the fun of Bowl for Kids’ Sake:

Form or join a team

When you register for Bowl for Kids’ Sake, you promise to raise at least $60 by the bowling party date you’ve chosen. You will find a registration form in this newsletter or you can register online (go to ThinkBigToday.org and click in the middle of the page right under the purple arrow). If you want to participate but can’t make a bowling party, we invite you to become a “virtual bowler” where you raise money like any other participant but do not come to the bowling center.

Become a sponsor

There are several levels of Bowl for Kids’ Sake sponsorships – from $2,000 Gold sponsorships to $100 Lane sponsorships – with varying benefits associated with each. To become a sponsor, please contact Kathy Praedel at 269-382-6800 or by email at kathyp@bbbsmi.org.

If you can’t participate on a team or become a sponsor, please find a friend or coworker who is participating and give them a donation.
