Stand with Us and “Be a BIG”

Children in our community are waiting for a mentor just like
you. They need you now and they will
need you more than ever in the coming months. Now you can learn about being a
Big Brother, Big Sister, or Big Couple from the comfort of your own home.
Instead of meeting you at a local coffee shop, we want to meet with you virtually to chat about how you can stand
with us and “Be a Big.”

The Recruitment Team is hosting one-on-one meetings by phone or video conference. You will receive
information about the mentoring opportunities in Southwest Michigan and the
impact mentoring has on youth in Kalamazoo, Allegan, Calhoun and Van Buren
counties. Our team will answer your
questions and provide information about next steps and volunteer
eligibility requirements.

More than 250 children are waiting for a mentor like you. You can begin making a difference today. It only takes 2 hours, twice a month to make a BIG impact.  

The entire Big
Brothers Big Sisters team is working remotely to conduct volunteer orientations,
interviews, and provide support and resources to the families we serve. We are
also connecting our Bigs and Littles
virtually to maintain and grow the bonds established during their mentoring
relationship and provide consistency and normalcy to those that need it most.

Children are experiencing collective trauma and the challenges of social isolation in ways we
have not seen before. The need for
mentoring is ongoing and even more
urgent during these challenging times.
