Big Sister Kyra Smith receives special honor

Big Sister Kyra Smith was recently honored by YWCA Kalamazoo as a Young Woman of Achievement for her volunteer work as a Big Sister and with Western Michigan University.

Kyra has been a Big Sister since 2014 and has been mentoring her current Little Sister, Americas, since September 2017.

Brittany Gray, Kyra’s Big Brothers Big Sisters’ match support specialist, nominated her. “I nominated Kyra because she is committed to making a positive impact, not only in her Little Sister’s life but in the community.”
